NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Fresh off its best season on the field in 12 years, the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team also performed in the classroom, earning Division I Academic Honor Squad status and having 11 student-athletes qualify for the Division I Academic Honor Roll, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Qualifying with at least a 3.2 team GPA, the Bobcats were one of 289 schools across all three NCAA Divisions, as well as NAIA to earn the team accolade for the 17th consecutive season. Quinnipiac also had 11 student-athletes selected to the Academic Honor Roll:
The Bobcats are coming off their first 10-win season in 12 years, finishing last year's campaign 10-8 en route to its first MAAC playoff win.
