Bobcats' Final Tune-Up Complete After Yale Springtime Invite

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's track and field team finished off its pre-championship slate on Sunday afternoon, competing at the Yale Springtime Invite in rainy New Haven.
Rylie Smith and Sydney Lavelle both posted program Top 10 marks and personal bests to round out their regular season. Smith clocked in at 12.39 in the 100m, while Lavelle ran the 100m hurdles in 15.04.
Lavelle's time puts her eighth in the MAAC, while Smith's places her eighth in the MAAC.
In the field, Olaitan Olagundoye jumped to a 10.98m mark in the Triple Jump, a season-high and good for 10th in the event in the league.
Overall, the Bobcats posted 10 finishes inside the Top Five, including three in the 100m and another pair in the 3k.
Smith was joined by Izzie Anzaldo (12.61) and Michelle Tota (12.73), who finished third and fourth respectively in the 100m.
Grace Michaud and Marisa Keiser placed second and third in the 3k, respectively, while Camille Blain added a second place finish in the 400 hurdles to her Sunday resume.
Olagundoye also finsihed second in the high jump, finishing at 1.55m, while Erin Brennan placed fourth in the pole vault.

Championship Season begins on Saturday, May 6, when the Bobcats head to Emmitsburg, Md., for the 2023 MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The two-day event will be held on the campus of league newcomer Mount St. Mary's.
Saturday's action is set to begin at Noon on Saturday and will be followed by a 10 a.m., start on Sunday from Morgan Track.
