Four Bobcats Claim Individual Titles at ECAC Championships

FAIRFAX, Va. — Four Quinnipiac student athletes earned ECAC titles in the team's final meet of the 2025 outdoor campaign, held at George Mason University over the weekend.
Quinnipiac finished third as a team, leading all MAAC foes and falling behind only A10 foes Richmond and hosts George Mason.
Rachel St. Germain and Sierra Gray earned distance titles on night one, securing first in the 3000m Steeplechase and 5000m, respectively.
Day two saw a pair of titles from short distances, as Nyasia Dailey put an exclamation point on her 100m campaign, winning that event after aiding the 4x100 relay team to a session-opening victory. She was joined by Talia Graham, Michelle Tota and Hailey Tolson for that victory.
Overall, the Bobcats accumulated 13 medals at the event.
Five Bobcats set personal bests to end their regular seasons on a high note with a pair of runners putting in season-best performances.
TOP 10 PERFORMANCES
The NCAA First Round meet will be held May 28-31 at the University of North Florida, with selections announced on May 22.
Zaffina currently sits 15th in the East in the 3000m Steeplechase, with the Top 48 declared athletes qualifying.

- Both Sydney Lavelle and Sadie Souls posted top-five times in the 400m Hurdles. Lavelle (1:01.69) remains in fourth while Souls (1:04.19) jumps from eighth to fifth.
- Avery Palmucci and Alexa Ciccone both posted 3000m outdoor top times, with Palmucci (10:19.46) slotting in fifth and Ciccone (10:23.47) placing eighth.
- Erin Brennan jumped into third all-time in the triple jump, posting 11.42m.
- The 4x800 relay team of Ashlynn Witt, Alessandra Zaffina, Sierra Gray and Christina Gunsalus ran 9:18.81, which slots them tenth.
