PHILADELPHIA — It was relay day for the Bobcats at Penn Relays, as Day 2 of the annual event came to a close at Franklin Field.

Quinnipiac competed in both the 4x100 and Sprint Medley events, with the squad taking seventh in the latter of the two to close out their tenure at the event.

Sydney Lavelle, Izzie Anzaldo, Rylie Smith and Christina Gunsalus combined for the fastest SMR since 2016, clocking in at 4:03.08. The run finished just under two seconds off the school record, set on April 2, 2016 at a 4:01.12 clip.

Earlier in the day, Anzaldo and Lavelle were joined by Hailey Tolson and Michelle Tota in the 4x100 relay, with the Bobcats clocking in at 48.65. That mark is good for eighth on the program's Top 10 list.

Quinnipiac returns to action on Sunday at the Yale Springtime Invitational to close out its regular season slate. The MAAC Championships commence the following weekend on the campus of Mount St. Mary's.
