Women's Ice Hockey Announces Five Returning Student-Athletes

HAMDEN, Conn.—The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team announced five returning student-athletes for the 2023-24 season. These student-athletes include graduate netminder Logan Angers, senior assistant captain Sadie Peart, senior forwards Alexa Hoskin and Jess Schryver, as well as senior defender Kate Reilly.
Logan Angers
A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Angers posted a career-high 31 games played while shutting out opponents seven times and totaling 3586:06 minutes on the ice. She had a career best .926 save percentage and a 1.76 goals against average through the year. She helped lead the team to the third longest women's ice hockey game in NCAA Tournament history, totaling 109:37 minutes where the Bobcats defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions in triple overtime. Angers was named Goaltender of the Week twice during the season.
Sadie Peart
Assistant captain Sadie Peart returns to the Bobcats for another season after playing in all 40 games this year. She posted 28 points with 14 goals , five of which were game winners, and 14 assists. Peart was an integral part of the Bobcats leadership that aided in the team breaking multiple program records and one of the winningest season's in the program's history.
Alexa Hoskin
Alexa Hoskin also posted a career-high season playing in 36 games where she totaled 7 goals, 17 assists for 24 points. She had two powerplay goals and game winners. Hoskin had four multi-point nights during the season. Hoskin had the lone assist on Peart's game winning OT goal against St. Lawrence to send the Bobcats to the ECAC Tournament Semifinals.
Jess Schryver
Jess Schryver saw action in all 40 games this season and posted 21 points (4G-17A), with one powerplay and game winning goal on the year. Schryver's GWG came against Cornell in a 6-1 victory on the powerplay. She posted five multipoint games, with a three-point night against Dartmouth with a goal and two assists.
Kate Reilly
Senior defender Kate Reilly played in all 40 matchups posting 8 goals and 10 assists. She had two powerplay goals, one shorthanded goal and led the defense in goals scored. She led the team in blocked shots with 46. She was named ECAC Hockey Defender of the week twice throughout the season and had the game-tying goal against Penn State to force triple OT.
