
Morris, Haywood and O'Donell Earn All-MAAC Honors

EDISON, N.J. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team saw three players earn All-MAAC honors, led by senior Mikala Morris being named to the 2022-23 All-MAAC Second Team, as announced by the league office Monday morning. Fellow senior Cur'Tiera Haywood earned Third Team All-MAAC honors, while first-year Ella O'Donnell was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team after her first season with the Bobcats.
Earning All-MAAC honors for the fourth consecutive season, Morris joins Aryn McClure as just the second player in the program's Div. I history to accomplish the feat. This season she averaged 10.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and a career-best 2.0 assists per game.

The Springfield, Ohio native will graduate in May with her name littered throughout the program record book. With 157 career blocks, Morris ranks fourth on the program's Div. I blocks list, while her 859 career rebounds slot her in fourth on the program's Div. I rebounds list as well. Morris is one of two players in the program's Div. I history to rank in the top five in blocks and rebounds, joining McClure on that list as well.
This season Morris became the 17th player in Quinnipiac's Div. I history to reach 1,000 career points on Dec. 31, 2022, and currently sits in 15th with 1,149 points. Morris is one of two players in the program's Div. I history with at least 1,000 career points, 800 rebounds, and 150 blocks, joining McClure.
Haywood earns All-MAAC Third Team honors after previously earning MAAC All-Rookie Team distinction as a first-year in 2019-20. Haywood enjoyed a breakout campaign as a senior for the Bobcats, leading the team in scoring with a career-best 10.3 points per game, while grabbing a career-high 5.3 rebounds per game.

Making starts in all 29 games for Quinnipiac, Haywood has reached double-figure scoring in 15 games and has led the Bobcats in scoring 10 times this season. A career marksman, Haywood ranks 16th in the conference in field-goal percentage (41.4%) and ninth in three-point field-goal percentage (35.2%).
Earning MAAC All-Rookie Team honors, O'Donnell shined as a first-year for the Bobcats. Impacting the game in many avenues, O'Donnell averaged 4.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.8 steals per game.

O'Donnell boasts five games on the season where she tallied double-figure point totals. She scored 10 points off the bench in back-to-back wins over CCSU (Nov. 12) and Hartford (Nov. 14). In her first collegiate start, she totaled a career-high 14 points and added five rebounds in Quinnipiac's win over Lehigh on Nov. 27.
The third-seeded Bobcats will be back in action in the MAAC Quarterfinals at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon as they take on the winner of the opening round contest between Manhattan and Saint Peter's.
