Bobcats Wrap Up Competition at ECAC Championships

BOSTON — The Quinnipiac University women's indoor track and field team posted a pair of top-six performances in program history on Sunday afternoon, wrapping up competition at the 2023 ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boston.
Liv DiStefano jumped up two places, running a personal-best 4:54.18 in the mile, while the Bobcats' 4x400 relay team of Sydney Lavelle, Rylie Smith, Izzie Anzaldo and Alyssa Romagnoli collaborated for a time of 3:49.39, good for fifth on the program's charts.
Alessandra Zaffina finished 10th in the mile, clocking in at 5:00.73 while Smith placed seventh in the 400m at 55.24.
STATS AND NOTES
The outdoor season awaits for the Bobcats, as Quinnipiac will head to Monmouth and the Raleigh Relays to begin the 2023 outdoor track and field campaign the weekend of March 25.
The schedule comprises of nine meets before the MAAC Championships May 6 and 7 in Emmitsburg, Md.

- The 4x400 team bested their time from yesterday in prelims, where they ran a 3:50.20 to qualify for today's final.
- Smith also bettered her time from yesterday, finishing in 55.24, compared to her 55.85 run in Saturday's prelim round.
- The Bobcats finished the meet with nine, Top 10 finishes.
