
Brennan, DiStefano, Olagundoye Claim Victories on Day 1 at MAACs

NEW YORK — Freshman Erin Brennan, sophomore Olaitan Olagundoye and junior Liv DiStefano all claimed victories at Day 1 of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday night at The Armory in New York.
Brennan and Olagundoye claimed victory in field events, with Brennan claiming top spot in the pole vault at 3.46m and Olagundoye finished first in the high jump at 1.65m. DiStefano led a 1-2 Bobcat finish in the 5k, clocking in at 17:16.00.
Rachel St. Germain claimed second at 17:23.12.
Quinnipiac's distance medley relay team of Mia Pestle, Emma Byrne, Clare Veverka and Corinne Barney also found the podium, finishing third.
QUALIFIERS
The following runners qualified for tomorrow's finals:

- 800m: Emily Young (2:17.92), Christina Gunsalus (2:17.46), Asia Mercier (2:20.60)
