EDISON, N.J. — The Quinnipiac University women's indoor track and field program swept both MAAC Weekly Awards, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomores Erin Brennan and Nyasia Dailey earned the conference Indoor Field and Track Performer of the Week honors, respectively, as they closed out the calendar year on a high note.
The league's indoor field Rookie of the Meet in 2023, Brennan picked up right where she left off in the pole vault as she again has the top mark heading into the holiday break. She hit the 3.50m mark in the event at Saturday's Yale Season Opener, leading the Bobcats to two of the top three performances at the Cox Cage in the event. She also jumped into the top eight on the MAAC Performance List in the Triple Jump.
Dailey ran the MAAC's fastest 60m time on Saturday, clocking in at 7.62 seconds. It is the second-fastest time in program history and the fastest run by a Bobcat since Jessica Lee during the 2018 indoor season. She won the event, breaking the 7.70 mark for the first time in her collegiate career.
The Bobcats finished their pre-holiday slate on Saturday and will return to action on Jan. 14 when they head to the UMass Flagship Invitational in Amherst.
