HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's basketball has announced the additions of Emma Lizotte, Reagan Sipla, Gracie Gopalan, and Gal Raviv as announced by the Bobcats in November during the early signing period.
"As a class, we are signing another talented group and our future looks dynamic," Quinnipiac Head Coach Tricia Fabbri said. "Our women's basketball staff did a great job receiving the commitments from these young ladies and their families."
Gal Raviv
5-9 • Guard • Kadima, Arizona • Bella Vista Prep
An offensively gifted point guard originally from Israel, Raviv has spent the last few years at Bella Vista Prep in Arizona refining her game. Raviv began her international playing career at the age of 14, earning a spot with the Israeli U16 National Team in 2021. With Team Israel, Raviv helped lead the squad to a Bronze Medal at the 2021 FIBA Euro Championships. When she returned to Israel, Raviv played a season in the girl's U18 Israeli League, where she ranked as a top-10 scorer in the league at the age of 14 years old.
This season, she's already had a near-triple-double performance as she poured in 32 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds in Bella Vista's contest against Dream City.
Coach Fabbri on Gal Raviv:
"A next-level do-it-all dynamic guard, Gal is a fierce competitor. She possesses great skill to go with her vision to make plays happen."
Emma Lizotte
6-3 • Forward • Saco, Maine • Thornton Academy
A well-accomplished post out of Saco, Maine, Lizotte averaged 17.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game as a junior last season. A two-time All-State selection, as well as a two-time All-Conference honoree, Lizotte was named to the All-Defensive Team in 2022. As a sophomore in 2022, Lizotte led Thornton to a Maine state title, earning Tournament MVP honors in the process.
Coach Fabbri on Emma Lizotte:
"Emma fits our style as a long, lean running machine. She will be disruptive on the defensive end of the floor and a versatile, highly-skilled post player who can score at all three levels. My favorite quality of hers is her ability to rebound offensively and defensively out of her area."
Reagan Sipla
6-1 • Guard • St. Charles, Illinois • St. Charles North High School
A three-year captain, Sipla is coming off a historic junior campaign that was capped off with leading St. Charles North to a Regional Championship. As a junior, Sipla set the Illinois state record for most three-pointers in a single season, as well as the school's single-season scoring record, which resulted in her being a unanimous All-Conference selection. A two-time All-State selection, Sipla also earned All-Conference honors as a sophomore.
Coach Fabbri on Reagan Sipla:
"Sips also brings length and motor at the shooting guard spot. She will add another defensive disruptive presence with our system. A knockdown three-point specialist, we are excited to have her on board."
Gracie Gopalan
5-4 • Guard • Waupun, Wisconsin • Waupun Area High School
A true point guard, Gopalan averaged 9.4 points, 5.1 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game as a junior en route to earning All-Conference Second Team honors. A two-time All-Conference First Team selection, Gopalan has led Waupun to three ECC Conference titles and a State Championship in 2022.
Coach Fabbri on Gracie Gopalan:
"Go-go Gracie is our version of the Energizer Bunny! A great distributor and playmaker, we are thrilled to have her on board."
