Savion Lewis Named MAAC Player of the Week

Lewis Leads Nation in Total Assists (42) Through 5 Games
EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac men's basketball graduate guard Savion Lewis has been named Hercules Tires MAAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, as revealed by the league office on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023.
The Dix Hills, NY-native leads the entire nation in total assists (42) through Quinnipiac's first five games, helping steer the Bobcats to a 4-1 start.
He averaged 13.0 PPG, 7.7 APG & 2.0 RPG over three games this past week for the Bobcats. Lewis led Quinnipiac in scoring with 18 points on 11/17 at Army, shooting 6-of-10 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the free throw line. He then posted 16 points and nine assists on 11/19 during a comeback win over Albany.
For the season, Lewis is averaging 9.0 PPG, 8.4 APG & 2.8 RPG. The point guard has posted assist totals of 8, 11, 9, 5, and 9 thus far.
Lewis and the Bobcats return to the floor on Sunday, Nov. 26, playing host to Stonehill at 2:00 PM in Hamden to continue the non-conference schedule.
