DURHAM, N.H. — Entering the third period in a 2-1 hole, the Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program did not flinch, rattling off four unanswered en route to a 5-2 victory over New Hampshire on Friday night at the Whittemore Center.
Travis Treloar tied it at the 4:52 mark in the third and the game would stay tied until Mason Marcellus displayed incredible skill, batting a puck from the boards out of the air and into the net to give Quinnipiac the lead for good with 1:54 on the clock.
Jacob Quillan and Davis Pennington added late insurance to put the game completely away.
The Bobcats have now combined for 13 goals over their last two outings and have won three in a row to improve to 3-1 on the year.

The Bobcats and Wildcats will battle again on Saturday night, with puck drop slated at 7 p.m. The game can be seen live on NESN and ESPN+.

STATS AND NOTES
- Treloar, playing in his 100th collegiate game tonight, recorded his 15th multi-point outing with a goal and an assist, while Quillan added his 13th.
- Andon Cerbone joined Marcellus in having a multi-point night, both of their firsts' in a college contest.
- With a goal in the first period, Collin Graf culminated a stretch of six points in four periods dating back to the Oct. 14 contest with AIC.
- Vinny Duplessis made 32 saves for his first regulation win with the Bobcats. It is the most stops he's made in a Bobcat and highest number since Feb. 6, 2021 when he made 40 saves against Boston College.
