Uchida, Bobcats Both Finish First At Hartford One Day Invitational

KENT, Conn. – The Bobcats had a pretty successful day on the course as Aimee Uchida finished at the top of the individual leaderboard and the Bobcats came in first as a team.
Aimee Uchida took home the tournament win as she shot a 74 (+2).
Meg Yoshida finished behind Uchida in second place by just one stroke (75) and was followed by graduate student Leeyen Peralta and Natalie Spiska who each shot a 76 and tied for third place.
First year Samantha Galantini rounded out the Quinnipiac group in seventh place with a 79 (+5).
The Bobcats had four individuals compete outside of the group and Sandhya Vaikuntam led the way with a 76, which put her in a three way tie for third with Peralta and Spiska. Riley Carey finished just a stroke behind Vaikuntam (77) and came in sixth place.
Alexia Egdahl and Emily Luu were the final individuals that competed and finished with a 79 and 84 respectively. Egdahl wrapped up play in eighth place and Luu finished in a tie for 12th place.
The Bobcats are back next week as they open up play at the Quinnipiac Classic on Monday, October 9th at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn.
