Bobcats Take 4th of 38 Teams at Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Quinnipiac outdoor track & field took fourth place out of 38 teams at William & Mary's Colonial Relays on Saturday, April 2. Symone Foster led the team with a first place finish in the 100m hurdles.
Virginia took first place overall, followed by William & Mary in second and Bucknell in third. Quinnipiac posted 59 points as a team.

Quinnipiac will look to April 9, as the Bobcats head to Southern Connecticut State to continue the outdoor season.

- Symone Foster won the 100m hurdles championship heat with a time of 14.13. Kalli'ana Botelho was not far behind in sixth place with a time of 14.45.
- In the 800m run championship invitational heat, Asia Mercier placed 14th with a time of 2:16.64, which is a new career best. Brooke Hagen took 21st in the same event with a time of 2:17.73.
- In the 400m relay championship heat, the team of Foster, Britney Del Mundo, Hayden Robinson and Jordan Mayo finished in 15th place with a time of 49.17.
- The team of Botelho, Alyssa Romagnoli, Robinson and Aisha Gay took second place in the 800m relay with a time of 1:38.73.
- In the 4000m distance medley relay, the team of Clare Veverka, Eileen Donovan, Jada Dennis and Amanda Carlson took sixth place with a time of 12:25.86.
- The team of Katie Bradley, Cassidy Phillips, Ana Caliri and Madeleine Shellard finished in 10th place in the 6000m relay with a time of 20:43.41.
- In the final relay of the meet, the team of Heather Feuchtenberger, Emily Young, Brooke Hagen and Asia Mercier tallied a 16th place finish in the 1600m relay with a time of 4:02.11.
- Mikah Maples tallied a 13.33m toss in the shot put, taking seventh place overall. She also placed ninth in the discus throw championship heat with a 44.17m throw.
- In the triple jump championship heat, Britney Del Mundo took 14th place with a 10.92m mark.
- Camille Sweet finished 22nd in the triple jump university heat with a 10.75m leap. Zekiah Lewis took 26th (10.46m).
