Bongiovanni Posts Three-Point Night in Win

Bobcats Clinch First Round Bye in ECAC Playoffs
HAMDEN, Conn. – Senior captain Wyatt Bongiovanni tallied three points in #2/2 Quinnipiac's 4-1 win over Brown on Tuesday evening. With the win, the Bobcats have officially clinched a bye in the first round of next month's ECAC Hockey playoffs.
Bongiovanni scored a power play goal at the midway point of the first period and Joey Cipollone doubled the lead 15 seconds later with his third goal in his last five games.
Ethan de Jong and Michael Lombardi both scored second period goals on rebounds from inside the crease to push the lead to 4-0 before Justin Jallen broke the shutout bid of Yaniv Perets with under six minutes left in the second period.

- Bongiovanni's three-point night pushes him into fifth in the ECAC in points, while his 14th goal of the year makes him the current league leader in goals.
- Ethan de Jong had two points in the win as he inches closer to the 100-point milestone for his career. The senior has 98 points heading into the final seven games of the regular season.
- Ethan Leyh's assist gives the junior a three-game point streak that includes two game-winning goals over Union and RPI.
- The Bobcats dominated in all aspects of the stat sheet, outshooting Brown 37-18, winning 36 of 54 faceoffs, and taking two penalties to Brown's five.
- Perets made 17 saves in the win, improving to 16-1-2 overall with just 15 goals allowed in 19 games played. The first year has only allowed 10 even-strength goals this season.
