
Young Breaks School Record in 800m at BU Last Chance Meet

BOSTON, Mass. - The Quinnipiac indoor track & field team took a small group of student-athletes to compete at the Boston University Last Chance Meet on Sunday, Feb. 27. Senior Emily Young led the team in the 800m with a time of 2:10.59, breaking the school record. Britney Del. Mundo also hit an ECAC qualifying mark in the triple jump.

- Young took eighth place with a time of 2:10.59 in the 800m. Her time is a career-best and broke the school record.
- Asia Mercier took 19th place in the 800m with a time of 2:14.78.
- Brooke Hagen also competed in the 800m, finishing in 24th place overall with a time of 2:16.15.
- Heather Feuchtenberger led the Bobcats in the 1 mile with a time of 5:03.95, taking 27th place overall.
- Liv DiStefano was right behind Feuchtenberger in the mile event, recording a time of 5:04.09 and finishing in 28th place overall.
- In 31st place in the mile, Amanda Carlson notched a time of 5:06.76.
- Clare Veverka took 37th place in the mile, recording a career-best time of 5:08.24.
- Katie Bradley notched a time of 5:24.95 in the mile event, finishing in 54th place.
- Britney Del Mundo took 19th place overall in the 200m dash with a time of 26.17.
- Del Mundo also hit an ECAC qualifying mark in the triple jump, finishing in second place overall with a 11.92m leap.
Quinnipiac will next compete at the ECAC Championships March 4-6.
