Women's Indoor Track and Field Selected No. 2 in MAAC Preseason Poll

EDISON, N.J. — The Quinnipiac University women's indoor track and field program was selected to finish second amongst the league's coaches, as revealed by the MAAC Preseason Poll released on Friday morning.
The Bobcats, who finished tied for second with league preseason favorites Rider at last year's championships, earned a pair of first place votes and finished 65 points, 14 behind the Broncs.
Rider and Quinnipiac had a tight 2020 Championship meet, when the Broncs edged the Bobcats by half a point to win the MAAC crown. The Bobcats won six golds at the 2022 Championships.
After the Broncs and Bobcats, Iona (55 points), Manhattan (54) and Mount St. Mary's (54) rounded out the top five as the indoor season looms.
Quinnipiac opens its seven-meet, regular-season slate on Dec. 3 with the first of three meets at Boston University. It will also compete at Yale on Dec. 10 before breaking for the holidays.
