Bobcats Head to New York, Will Face Union and RPI

HAMDEN, Conn.— No. 4 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team will travel to Union and RPI on Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3. The Bobcats head into the weekend as Nutmeg Classic Champions for the third year straight. The Bobcats defeated Bemidji State and UConn to secure the title and keep the trophy in Hamden for another year.

LAST TIME OUT

The Bobcats are 14-1-0, and 6-1-0 in ECAC Hockey play.
The Bobcats defeated Bemidji State 5-0 to advance to the Nutmeg Classic title match against UConn where they shut out the Huskies, 1-0.
QU earned their second back-to-back shutouts of the year and have seven total this season between netminders Logan Angers and Catie Boudiette.
Maya Labad tallied three goals and an assist during the tournament and was named the Nutmeg Classic Most Outstanding Player.
The Bobcats outshot the two teams with a combined total of 60-34.

SCOUTING UNION

The Bobcats are 34-1-4 all time against Union since 2001.
Union enters the weekend on a four-game win streak defeating Dartmouth 5-4 in overtime, RIT 3-2 in overtime and 2-1 in regulation, and RPI 2-1 in overtime.
Riley Walsh of the Dutchwomen scored the tying goal to force OT against the Engineers and then scored the game-winner three minutes into overtime.
Union's Sophie Matsoukas made 22 saves against RPI to extend their win streak.

SCOUTING RPI

The Bobcats are 23-13-2 all time against the Engineers, with an 8-7-2 record on the road.
RPI is 4-11-1 on the year and 0-4-1 in ECAC Hockey action.
The Engineers won their last matchup 5-0 over Stonehill to mark their fourth shutout of the year.
RPI will face Princeton on Friday, Dec. 2 before hosting the Bobcats on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m.

A LOOK AT THE NATIONAL POLLS

The Bobcats is ranked No. 4 in the nation after winning the Nutmeg Classic tournament.
QU has been in the top 15 in national polling for the past 12 weeks.
QU has been in the top 5 nationally for the past five weeks.

LEADING THE ECAC

QU leads the ECAC with 18 points and a 6-1-0 conference record. Yale is second, with 12 points and a 4-0-0 record.

TRACKING THE BOBCATS

Olivia Mobley leads the Bobcats in points with 22 (6-16-22) and leads the team in assists with 16.
The Mobley, Maloney, Chantler line has combined for 51 points this season.
Maya Labad and Shay Maloney are tied for first on the team in goals scored with nine each.
Lexie Adzija is ranked third in the nation for powerplay goals per game with four.
Catie Boudiette is ranked first in the nation for save percentage and goals against average with a .977 and .400 respectively.
Boudiette is also number one in the nation for goalie win percentage with 1.000 through five games.
