HAMDEN, Conn-- No. 4 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey captured their third straight Nutmeg Classic title and 11th in program history after Maya Labad scored the lone goal to defeat No. 15 UCONN, 1-0. Graduate netminder Logan Angers made 16 saves to secure her fourth shutout of the year.

- (15:42, 1st period, EV) Quinnipiac 1, UCONN 0—Maya Labad scored the lone goal of the evening unassisted, going coast to coast after picking up a UCONN rebound in the offensive zone. She battled a UCONN defender and then went low on Huskies goaltender Tia Chan and beat her just to the right to keep the trophy in Bobcat territory.

- The Nutmeg Classic trophy will remain in Hamden for the third straight year.
- This is the 11th time in program and Nutmeg history that QU has won the title.
- Maya Labad was named the Most Outstanding Player for her three goals and assist during the tournament.
