UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Quinnipiac women's cross country returns for their fifth meet of the season as they travel to University Park, Pa., to compete at the Penn State National Meet on Friday, October 14 at 11 AM.
The Bobcats have competed four times already this year, taking first place in three of four meets, the Stony Brook Season Opener, Siena XC Invitational, and the New England XC Championships.

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Quinnipiac women's cross country returns for their fifth meet of the season as they travel to University Park, Pa., to compete at the Penn State National Meet on Friday, October 14 at 11 AM.
The Bobcats have competed four times already this year, taking first place in three of four meets, the Stony Brook Season Opener, Siena XC Invitational, and the New England XC Championships.
QU WINS NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS
- The Bobcats captured the New England Championships as five runners finished in the top eight of the competition.
- Emily Young (17:56) led the way for Quinnipiac and found herself in a second place finish. Liv DiStefano was QU's second best finisher as she finished in third place with a time of 18:09.
- Rachel St. Germain (18:13), Alessandra Zaffina (18:16) and Corinne Barney (18:17) finished sixth, seventh and eighth respectively to help lead the Bobcats to the title.
- The Bobcats took ninth place out of 19 teams at the Coast to Coast Battle in Beantown.
- Emily Young had the best finish out of Quinnipiac as she finished 24th overall with a time of 18:01. Liv DiStefano was QU's second best finisher as she came in 31st with a time of 18:09.
- Rachel St. Germain turned in the 41st best time, 18:21.
- The Bobcats turned in an impressive performance on Saturday afternoon at The Crossings, finishing in first place as a team (49 points) at the Siena XC Invitational.
- Corinne Barney (18:13.6) finished in third place to lead the way for the Bobcats. Emily Young (18:16.9) finished in sixth place, and Liv DiStefano (18:22.3) finished in seventh.
- Rachel St. Germain turned in the 13th best time. Quinnipiac finished with five of the best 21 times.
- Quinnipiac women's cross country got off to a fast start to the 2022 season on Saturday, finishing tied for first place as a team (46 points) with Stony Brook.
- Emily Young led the Bobcats with the fourth-best time of the entire field (14:30.90) at the Stony Brook Season Opener. QU had five of the top 16 finishers.
- Rachel St. Germain (14:31.90) finished in 7th place, and Liv DiStefano (14:42.70) finished in 8th place.
- Quinnipiac has been selected as the 12th-best team in the Northeast Region, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA)
- The Bobcats were ranked as the highest MAAC team in the poll.

- The Quinnipiac women's cross country team was voted to finish third in the 2022 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league on Wednesday, August 24.
- The Bobcats earned 95 points in the coaches' poll, taking third place. Iona received 116 points in first place, followed by Siena with 102.
- Quinnipiac is coming off a third-place team finish at the 2021 MAAC Championships in October. Junior Liv DiStefano took fifth place and graduate student Emily Young took sixth at the MAAC Championship meet, earning All-MAAC honors.
- Quinnipiac finished in 15th place as a team in the NCAA Regionals, which is one of the team's best finishes in program history with 442 points and two finishers in the top 50.
- The Bobcats are slated to compete in six total events before the MAAC Championships.
- QU begins the fall schedule on Long Island at Stony Brook (Sept. 3), competing in the Stony Brook Invitational.
- Quinnipiac then heads to Siena for a road meet (Sept. 10) followed by the Coast to Coast Battle in Beantown (Sept. 23) held at Franklin Park in Boston.
- QU returns to Franklin Park (Oct. 8) to compete in the New England Championships. The Bobcats follow with the Penn State National (Oct. 14) before they make the short trip to New Britain, Conn. to compete vs. Central Connecticut State (Oct. 21) at Stanley Quarter Park.
- The Bobcats will compete in the MAAC Championships in Colonie, New York on Saturday, Oct. 29, and the NCAA Regional Championships are set for Nov. 11
