TERRE HAUTE, IN — Senior Zoe Merryman led the way for the Quinnipiac women's cross country program in the nation's premiere regular season meet, the 2026 Under Armour Pre-National Invite, held by Indiana State on Friday morning.
The Bobcats ran in the top women's race of the weekend, finishing 39th out of 43 teams and three spots behind Iona, the only other Metro school in the race. It was Merryman, however, leading all conference runners as she finished in 125th place with a time of 21:04.8.
Three upperclassmen packed up and ran close together to finished second through fourth, as Avery Palmucci (21:44.4), Madeleine O'Neill (21:45.1) and Alexa Ciccone (21:49.3) all scored for the Bobcats.
Based on XCRI team rankings, the Bobcats finished two spots ahead of where they were projected.
