Four Bobcats Reach Double-Figures in Scoring in Road Win over Siena

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team saw four players reach double-figures in scoring, as the Bobcats defeated MAAC foe Siena, 68-51, on the road Saturday afternoon inside of the UHY Center.
Mackenzie DeWees and Sajada Bonner led the way with 13 points apiece in the victory, while Amani Free added 12 points off the bench and Mikala Morris contributed 10 points of her own.
The Bobcats improved to 7-6 on the season and 2-2 in the MAAC with the win, while the Saints fell to 0-10 on the campaign and 0–2 in conference-play.

- The Bobcats used the opening 4:53 of the contest to jump out to an early 11-4 lead before the Saints called a timeout with 5:07 remaining in the first
- Out of the timeout, Quinnipiac outscored Siena 11-6 the remainder of the quarter to take a 22-10 lead into the second quarter
- After Siena cut the Quinnipiac lead to 10, the Bobcats responded with an 11-0 run to extend their lead to 36-15
- The run was capped by a Jackie Grisdale three-pointer with 2:29 remaining left in the first half
- Quinnipiac carried a 38-20 lead into the break
- The Bobcats used the opening 7:23 of the second half to go on a 19-7 run, extending their lead to 30 points, its largest of the game
- The Saints cut it to as close as 13 points in the fourth quarter, but the deficit proved to be too much as Quinnipiac hung on for the 68–51 victory
- The win snapped Quinnipiac's two-game skid
- Mackenzie DeWees led the Bobcats with 13 points and three steals
- She added 11 rebounds and five assists
- The outing marked her fourth double-double of the season
- Sajada Bonner added 13 points in her second start of the season
- Bonner scored eight of her 13 points in the first quarter
