NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Quinnipiac women's soccer team lost its first game of the season, 1-0, at Columbia on Sunday, Sept. 19. The Lions scored one goal in the first half to seal the victory in New York.

- (25' – Quinnipiac 0, Columbia 1): Columbia's Nata Ramirez netted the game's only goal in the 25th minutes. Ramirez secured the ball inside the box with her back to the goal. She was able to turn and slide it past Meaghan Phillips.
- The Bobcats' record against Columbia is now 1-1 all-time. This was the first loss against the Lions for the Bobcats.
- Phillips made three saves in the net, allowing one goal.
- Sophomore Rebecca Cooke tallied three shots on net to lead the team.
