
Bobcats in the Pros: Men's Basketball

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's basketball program currently has seven former student-athletes playing professionally.
The Bobcats are represented in the NBA G League, as well as top professional league's in Italy, Ukraine, Cyprus, Georgia, Austria and Portugal.Cameron Young ('19)
The former Quinnipiac AP All-American / 2018-19 MAAC Player of the Year joined Memphis Hustle of the NBA G League earlier in December.
Young has played in five games with the Hustle, averaging 16.2 points on 50.0% shooting.
The 25-year-old made his G League debut on Dec. 5, 2021 in Southhaven, Mississippi, scoring nine points off the bench in 22 minutes against the Lakeland Magic.
Young has recorded double-digit point totals in each of his last three games (21 PTS on 12/9, 20 PTS on 12/13, 24 PTS on 12/14). He made his first start for the Hustle in the team's latest game on Dec. 14 in Birmingham, stuffing the stat sheet with 24 points, four rebounds and four assists in 44 minutes played.
Following his career with the Bobcats, Young signed his first professional contract with Pallacanestro Cantù – a basketball club based in Cantù, Italy. After spending the 2019-20 season with Pallacanestro Cantù, Young then joined Cherkaski Mavpy of the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague in February of 2021.
He signed with the South Bay Lakers on Oct. 23, 2021 after a successful tryout, then was waived at the end of training camp. The Memphis Hustle added him to their roster in early December.James Feldeine ('10)
James Feldeine returns to Italy where he last played with Pallacanestro Cantù. The guard signed with Fortitudo Bologna in late November after spending last year in Spain with Betis.
In two games so far with Bologna, the former Bobcat has posted 11.0 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 3.0 APG.
He averaged 14.9 PPG, 2.9 APG, and 2.5 RPG over 34 games last year in Spain – shooting 42.3 percent from the floor. Feldeine has played in professionally for 12 seasons in Spain, Italy, Puerto Rico, Greece, Serbia and Israel, logging almost 300 total games in that span.
Feldeine's long list of career achievements as a pro include: Serbian League Champion (2018), Greek Cup MVP (2017), 2x Greek Cup Winner (2016, 2017), Greek League Champion (2017), Israeli League All-Star (2019), All-Israeli League First Team (2019), Israeli League Cup Winner (2019), and 2x Israeli State Cup Winner (2019, 2020).Zaid Hearst ('15)
Zaid Hearst is playing in Ukraine for the 2021-22 season. He's impressed with 21.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG and 3.0 APG so far through 2 contests with his new team.
Hearst recorded 28 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one block in 37 minutes on Dec. 9 for Mykolaiv.
He spent 2020-21 with Alba Fehervar in Hungary, pouring in 9.5 PPG, 3.0 RPG in 9 contests. Hearst is in his 7th season as a professional player, spending time in Spain, Italy, Lithuania, France, Hungary and now Ukraine. The 28-year-old has averaged 10+ points per contest in 5 of 7 pro seasons.Donovan Smith ('17)
Donovan Smith has played in 10 games for Nicosia in Cyprus so far this year, averaging 17.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The 28-year-old has already had games of: 29 points and 7 rebounds (10/31), 26 points and 4 rebounds (11/17), and 33 points and 5 rebounds (12/5).
He's played in Spain, Romania, Georgia and now Cyprus during his time after Quinnipiac. Smith spent the 2020-21 season with Olimpi Tbilisi of the Georgian Superliga alongside former Bobcat Abdulai Bundu.
During the '21-22 with Olimpi, Smith posted 12.5 PPG and 6.2 RPG in 13 contests (9 starts). He's averaged 10+ points per game in each season as a pro thus far.Abdulai Bundu ('19)

Bundu recently recorded 21 points and 12 rebounds against Dinamo, helping him earn the league's Player of the Week award. He played in 21 games during the 2020-21 season with Olimpi, averaging 8.1 PPG and 6.6 RPG alongside fellow QU grad Donovan Smith.Aaron Falzon ('20)
Falzon took his talents to Austria for the 2021-22 season, joining the Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions. He's averaging 11.8 PPG, 8.4 RPG so far in 5 games this year in Austria.
The 25-year-old has also played for the Malta National Team, pouring in 32 points vs. San Marino and 38 points against Gibraltar in August of 2021.
He spent 2020-21 (his first year as a pro) with both the Leicester Riders of the British Basketball League and the Etoile Angers in France.Andrew Robinson ('19)
Andrew Robinson is currently in Portugal for his first season as a professional player.
He's averaging 6.3 PPG, 2.1 RPG, shooting 44.1% from 3-point distance over 10 games. Robinson poured in 22 points to go along with 5 rebounds, going 5-of-7 from distance in his first start with the team earlier this season.
Robinson and Imortal Basket are 7-3 right now, good for 4th place in the league.
