HAMDEN, Conn. - Brage Aasen and Sam McCann scored goals for the Bobcats, as Quinnipiac men's soccer dropped a non-conference matchup against Niagara on Saturday afternoon at the QU Soccer Stadium.

SCORING SUMMARY

FIRST HALF
(6' – Quinnipiac 1, Niagara 0): Jordon Bennett played a long ball to the top of the box, Sam McCann collected possession and fired a shot on goal. The Purple Eagles' keeper made a save, then Brage Aasen collected the deflection and put it home to give QU the early edge.

(14' – Quinnipiac 1, Niagara 1): Jelldrik Dallmann scored for the Purple Eagles less than 10 minutes later to even things.

(16' – Quinnipiac 2, Niagara 1): Sam McCann capitalized off a Niagara turnover, evaded multiple Niagara defenders inside the box, then blasted a shot into the back of the net for a QU goal. The score came just over two minutes after Niagara's goal.

SECOND HALF
(74' – Quinnipiac 2, Niagara 2): Ali Alomar evened the game for Niagara, scoring at 73:43.

(79' – Quinnipiac 2, Niagara 3): Jelldrik Dallmann scored the game-winner for the Purple Eagles in the 79^th minute.

Aasen's goal is his eighth of the season – which leads the Bobcats. He has 18 total points in 13 games.
First-Year Sam McCann scored once, and assisted on Aasen's goal. He now has three goals and one assist for seven total points this year.
Jordon Bennett recorded his fifth assist, which leads QU.
Sophomore keeper Antreas Hadjigavriel made six saves. He's stopped 62 shots in 12 matches.
Total shots were 18-12 in favor of Niagara.
