Bobcats Post Second Straight Shutout
BURLINGTON, Vt. – Graduate student goaltender Dylan St. Cyr made his first Quinnipiac start and led the Bobcats to a 2-0 shutout victory over Vermont on Saturday night. Seniors Michael Lombardi and captain Wyatt Bongiovanni both scored in the win.
Senior Ethan de Jong walked out front with under seven minutes to play in the second and put the puck towards goal where Bongiovanni finished the play to put the Bobcats ahead 1-0.
Seven minutes into the final frame, Lombardi carried the puck through three defenders near the blue line and finished top shelf for his second goal of the season. Assistant captain Zach Metsa earned an assist on the play.
