#8/8 Bobcats Tie #9/10 Providence on the Road

HAMDEN, Conn. – The No. 8/8 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team skated to a 2-2 tie on Friday afternoon against No. 9/10 Providence. Quinnipiac remains undefeated on the season with a 6-0-1 overall record. Providence moves to 2-0-1.
The Friars held a 1-0 lead through the middle of the third period, but graduate student Taylor House scored to tie the game in the third. Providence would jump up to a 2-1 lead with under 10 minutes remaining in regulation. Redshirt-junior Courtney Vorster scored to tie the game once again. Neither team scored in a five minute 3-vs-3 overtime and the game ended 2-2.

- (8:05, 1st period, PP) – Quinnipiac 0, Providence 1: The Friars netted a power play goal in the first period to take a 1-0 lead. Caroline Peterson netted her first of the season from Bailey Burton and Claire Tyo.
- (4:37, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Providence 1: House tallied her second goal of the season off a tip-in goal. Junior Kate Reilly hit a shot towards the net from the right side from sophomore Nina Steigauf, and House was on the back door to tip it home.
- (9:33, 3rd period, PP) – Quinnipiac 1, Providence 2: The Friars scored the team's second power play goal of the day late in the third to take back the lead. Brooke Becker scored from the point. Lindsay Bochna and Hayley Lunny tallied the assists.
- (9:54, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Providence 2: The Bobcats never quit, as Vorster notched her second goal of the season from the right point off a faceoff. Seniors Lexie Adzija and Zoe Boyd recorded assists on the goal.
- Six different Bobcats recorded a point in the tie.
- Angers made 21 saves in net for Quinnipiac.
- The Bobcats and Friars both recorded 23 shots on goal.
- Quinnipiac held the advantage in the faceoff circle, winning 58.5%. Adzija led the team with a 59.1% winning percentage.
