Dave Clarke Records 200th Career Win, Bobcats Take Down Canisius

HAMDEN, Conn. – Head women's soccer coach Dave Clarke earned his 200th career win in Wednesday's 3-0 shutout against Canisius. Three different Bobcats scored in the team's 10th win of the season and fifth MAAC win.
Senior Selena Salas, first-year Ella Gagno and junior Markela Bejleri all scored in today's win.

(26' – Quinnipiac 1, Canisius 0): Selena Salas scored her sixth goal of the year on a penalty kick to give Quinnipiac a 1-0 lead.
(29' – Quinnipiac 2, Canisius 0): First-year Ella Gagno scored her second goal of the season off a corner kick in the first half. She received the ball from sophomore Courtney Chochol and launched a driven ball from right above the box and scored in the upper 90 of the right side.
(34' – Quinnipiac 3, Canisus 0): Junior Markela Bejleri netted a beautiful volley inside the box from first-year Anna Costello.

- Sophomore Sofia Lospinoso recorded her fifth win of the season to remain undefeated.
- Bejleri and Salas led the team with three shots on goal.
- The Bobcats out shot the Griffs, 11-3 on net.
- Quinnipiac had five corners compared to Canisius' one.
- The Bobcats improved to 5-1 on the season in conference play.
- The Bobcats will travel to Siena on Saturday, Oct. 16. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
