MAAC Announces 2020-21 Men's Basketball Schedule

Bobcats Open Conference Action at Home (Dec. 8 vs. Manhattan)

EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) released the 2020-21 men's basketball schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020.
Quinnipiac men's basketball will begin conference play at the People's United Center in Hamden on Tuesday, Dec. 8 vs. Manhattan. The Bobcats first MAAC road contest is set for Friday, Dec. 11 vs. Iona at the Hynes Center – where Quinnipiac capped off the 2019-20 regular season with a 69-68 victory on March 4.
The Bobcats' full schedule follows the recently announced MAAC basketball schedule model, which is adjusted to accommodate changes and potential disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020-21 season calls for a 20-game slate, with every school playing each opponent both home and away. The MAAC has also allowed four non-conference games in the first two weeks of the season, plus one additional game on the week of Dec. 22.
Quinnipiac hosts three MAAC games in December, three league games in January, two home MAAC contests in February and two in March. The program concludes the regular season with a pair of home games, hosting 2019-20 MAAC Regular Season Champion Siena on Tuesday, March 2 and Marist on Friday, March 5.

Quinnipiac is coming off a 15-15 (10-10 MAAC) 2019-20 campaign. The Bobcats won three-straight games to end the regular season, earning the No. 5 seed in the MAAC Tournament and a first round bye for the second-straight season under Head Coach Baker Dunleavy. The 2020 MAAC Tournament was suspended due to the COVID-19 virus before Quinnipiac participated in postseason play. The Bobcats finished No. 5 nationally once again in made three-pointers, nailing 10.3 triples per contest.
