Bobcats lose first game to No. 6/6 Princeton, 5-1

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 10/10 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team was defeated by the No. 6/6 Princeton Tigers in the first game of the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals, 5-1. The Tigers took the lead in the first period after an early four-goal surge.

Sophomore Courtney Vorster scored the Bobcats' long goal in the first period. Senior netminder Abbie Ives made 19 saves, and the Bobcats outshot the Tigers, 27-23.

Quinnipiac will look to even the series in game two on Saturday, Feb 29 at 3 p.m., in Princeton, N.J.
