No. 10/10 Women's Ice Hockey Celebrates Senior Day with 9-1 Win vs Brown

HAMDEN, Conn. – The No. 10/10 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team defeated the Brown Bears, 9-1, on Saturday afternoon. The team's season-high of nine goals scored today was the most since the 2016-17 season.
Seven different Bobcats scored in the 9-1 win. Senior Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout recorded four points in her final game on home ice. Senior Kati Tabin and juniors Renee Saltness and Taylor Girard all recorded three points. The four senior skaters tallied at least one point and were honored prior to the start of the game for their dedication to the program over the last four years.
Senior netminder Abbie Ives played in her 99th game, recording 14 saves, which ties a season-low.
Quinnipiac will play in the quarterfinal round of the ECAC Playoffs against Princeton starting Friday, Feb. 28 in a three-game series.

- (9:44, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Brown 0: Junior Renee Saltness scored the first goal for the Bobcats off a break-away play. She beat a Brown defenseman, hesitated to the left and scored a beautiful goal past Brown's Calla Isaac.
- (12:25, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Brown 0: Sophomore Zoe Boyd scored the Bobcats' second goal off a left-side slap shot. Juniors Brooke Bonsteel and Laura Lundblad recorded helpers.
- (14:01, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 3, Brown 0: Saltness scored her second goal of the game off an interesting rebound play. Junior Taylor Girard shot from a low angle on the left side. Isaac saved the puck, and then the rebound hit Saltness and found its way past Isaac into the net.
- (18:54, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 4, Brown 0: Senior Kati Tabin scored her fifth goal of the year from the right side off a slap shot. First-year Kate Reilly and Saltness tallied assists.
- (6:58, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 5, Brown 0: Junior Grace Markey received a backwards pass from senior Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout and shot it from the circle past Isaac to give Quinnipiac a 5-0 lead.
