Bobcats earn two point in road victory vs Bulldogs
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team earned the second road win of the weekend after defeating the Yale Bulldogs, 3-1. First-year Sadie Peart and junior Grace Markey led the team with a goal and an assist each in the win.
Markey tallied the game-winner in the third period, and first-year Kate Reilly scored her fifth of the year in the first. Senior netminder Abbie Ives recorded 30 saves and ended the weekend with just two goals against.

Junior Taylor Girard secured the puck behind the net and found first-year Kate Reilly above the right circle. Reilly sent a wrister to the net and buried it past Yale's Gianna Meloni.
- (17:40, 2nd period, PP) – Quinnipiac 1, Yale 1: The Bulldogs tied the game with a power play goal scored by Charlotte Welch. Claire Dalton sent the puck to the net and Welch's deflection found its way past senior Abbie Ives.
- (8:50, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Yale 1: Junior Grace Markey scored the game-winning goal off a diving tip from Peart.
- (16:49, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 3, Yale 1: Peart scored the Bobcats' third goal off a flurry of shots in front of the net. Markey and senior Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout tallied helpers.
- Peart tallied her third multi-point game of the season and Markey recorded her first.
- Markey now has 10 points on the season with two goals and eight assists.
- Girard tallied an assist and had recorded at least one point in five-straight games.
- The Bulldogs just edged the Bobcats with 31 shots to 30.
- Yale converted one power play goal, and Quinnipiac went 0-2 on the man-advantage.
- The Bobcats will return home to host Union and RPI next weekend, Feb. 7-8.
