Bobcats outshoot Dutchwomen, 46-19

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team dominated the Union Dutchwomen in a 6-2 win on Friday night. Five different Bobcats scored, and junior Taylor House led the charge with two goals and one assist for three points. Junior Taylor Girard, first-years Sadie Peart and Kate Reilly and senior Kati Tabin all scored in the win. Senior netminder Abbie Ives had 17 saves and recorded her 13th win of the season.

Quinnipiac earned its eighth ECAC win of the season and 16th of the year.

(5:06, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Union 0: The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead with a goal from junior Taylor Girard. Sophomore Lexie Adzija sent a pass to junior Taylor House skating over the blue line. House sent a no-look pass to Girard in the center of the ice, and Girard sent it home.
(9:51, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Union 1: Union's Leah Herrfort tied the game with a snipe from above the circle past senior Abbie Ives.
(2:59, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Union 1: House tallied her second point of the night off a pass from senior Kati Tabin. House skated alone over the blue line and scored off her own rebound to give Quinnipiac a 2-0 lead.
(10:32, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 3, Union 1: Sophomore Katie Huntington sent an off-the-wall pass to junior Grace Markey skating into the offensive zone. Markey sent a pass to first-year Sadie Peart above the crease and she scored.
(15:49, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 4, Union 1: Girard sent a cross-ice pass to House on the back-door, who hit a top-shelf wrister and scored her second goal of the night.
(6:06, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 5, Union 1: Tabin added her second point of the night with a snipe from the point to put the Bobcats up 5-1. Junior Laura Lundblad tallied a helper on the play.
(8:00, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 5, Union 2: The Dutchwomen added a second goal by Megan Ryan with under ten minutes to play. Rachel de Perio and Cassidy Michalicka recorded assists.
(15:01, 3rd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 6, Union 2: First-year Kate Reilly scored the Bobcats' sixth goal of the night from Lundblad.

The Girard-Adzija-House line dazzled in the 6-1 win, recording seven total points.
House scored two goals and tallied an assist for three points in the win.
Girard scored the Bobcats first goal and added an assist for her second multi-point game of the season.
Adzija recored two helpers in the win and leads the team with 15 this season.
