Quinnipiac set to come home with two wins after Game 2 of Friendship Series
BELFAST, Northern Ireland – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team closed out the 2020 Friendship Series with a 3-1 win against the Merrimack Warriors. The Bobcats swept the series after a 4-2 win on Friday, Jan. 4.
Junior Olivia Konigson scored the first Bobcat goal in the second period, which was the first goal of the season for the junior defenseman. Senior Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout scored the game-winning goal on a Quinnipiac power play. First-year Kate Reilly added a third power play to give the Bobcats a 3-1 lead and the eventual win.
Red-shirt first-year Logan Angers tallied her third win of the season in the net with 18 saves.

- (9:15, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Merrimack 0: Junior Olivia Konigson scored her first goal of the season in the second period off a shot from the point. Sophomore Lexie Adzija and Taylor Girard tallied assists on the play.

- Adzija led the Bobcats through the weekend with three assists and one goal for four points. Her three-point performance today was a season-high.
- Senior Kenzie Prater had three points this weekend with one goal and two assists.
- Konigson scored her first goal of the year and has two points so far this season.
- Junior Brooke Bonsteel recorded 13 faceoff wins out of 21 total.
- Junior Laura Lundblad led the team with five shots on goal.
- The Bobcats are set to travel home to the U.S. with two wins. Quinnipiac will return to ECAC play on Friday, Jan. 10 to take on Harvard in Boston, Mass., followed by Dartmouth on Saturday, Jan. 11.
