Lundblad Lifts Women's Ice Hockey Past No. 9 Harvard

Bobcats take down previously undefeated Crimson
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team handed the No. 9 Harvard Crimson its first ECAC loss of the season in a 2-1 win Friday night. Junior Laura Lundblad scored the game-winning goal in the second period, and senior Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout tallied the Bobcats' first goal early in the opening period.
Senior netminder Abbie Ives tied her career-high in saves with 42. This is the second game this season the senior has tallied 42 saves – the first game was against No. 10 Minnesota Duluth. Ives is 5-1 all-time against Harvard, and the Class of 2020 is undefeated when playing at Bright Landry Hockey Center against the Crimson.
This is the team's second win against a top-ten team this season.

- (1:09, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 0, Harvard 1: Harvard's Kristi Della Rovere scored in the opening two minutes from beyond the blue line to give the Crimson an early 1-0 lead.
- (2:12, 1st period, EV) – Quinnipiac 1, Harvard 1: The Bobcats quickly answered back after junior Taylor Girard stole the puck back in the offensive zone on the forecheck. Girard skated to the corner and found senior Sarah-Eve Coutu-Godbout dashing towards the crease, who tapped it past Harvard's Lindsay Reed.
- (8:15, 2nd period, EV) – Quinnipiac 2, Harvard 1: After a flurry of shots in front of the net, junior Laura Lundblad shot the puck off the bounce and chipped it into the back of the net past Reed to give the Bobcats a 2-1 lead.
- Lundblad scored the game-winner in the second period from first-year Alexa Hoskin and junior Brooke Bonsteel. Lundblad has tallied two goals and one assist this season for three points.
- Coutu-Godbout has recorded four points in the last four games and has 15 points on 11 goals and four assists on the season.
- Ives notched 42 saves, which ties her season high. She has recorded 84 saves in the Bobcats' two wins vs top-ten teams this season, allowing just three goals against.
