Goldring Records Second Goal of the Season to Give the Bobcats the 1-0 Win
HAMDEN, Connecticut – The Quinnipiac women's soccer team defeated the URI Rams on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, 1-0. Kelsey Goldring scored her second-straight goal of the season with a penalty kick in the 77th minute.
The Bobcats are now 2-0 on the season, which is the best start since 2015, and both wins have been shutouts, which is the first occurrence for the team since the 1993 season.

- (77' – Quinnipiac 1, URI 0): Freshman Rosie Weaver drew a foul in the Ram's penalty box, after a hard tackle by URI's keeper, Teresa Morrisey. Kelsey Goldring stepped up and buried the penalty to put the Bobcats on the board with a 1-0 lead.
- This is the first time the Bobcats have started the season with two back-to-back shutouts since the 1993 season.
- Freshman keeper Meaghan Phillips has recorded two shutouts in her first two career starts.
- The Bobcats out-shot the Rams 11 to 4, which is a season high for Quinnipiac.
- Phillips had to make just two saves, while URI's Morrissey recorded three.
- Freshman Markela Bejleri led the team with four shots, followed by Goldring with three.
