Abbott, DiMuccio, George Named to College Crosse’s All-Freshmen Roster

HAMDEN, Conn. – Three Quinnipiac men's lacrosse players have been named to College Crosse's 2019 All-Freshmen roster, as announced by the publication on Monday, June 3.
Midfielder Will Abbott was named to the All-Freshman Third Team, while goaltender Nick DiMuccio and FOGO Demitri George were tabbed Honorable Mention.
Abbott recorded an impressive 20 goals and 14 assists for 34 points in 2019, finishing fourth on the team in scoring. He tallied eight games of two or more goals, and was named to both the All-MAAC First Team and the All-Rookie squad.
DiMuccio started all 16 games in 2019 for the Bobcats, recording a 9-7 overall record. He finished the season ranked No. 4 nationally in saves per contest (13.88). The first-year goalie posted a .524 save percentage to go along with a 12.65 goals-against average.
George also played in all 16 games for Quinnipiac, going 121-for-241 in face-off attempts. He picked up a team-high 64 ground balls for the Bobcats, adding a goal on April 23 vs. Yale.
Quinnipiac men's lacrosse posted a 9-7 (5-2 MAAC) record, as the program mad its third-ever appearance in the MAAC Tournament championship contest. Quinnipiac recorded a winning MAAC record for the fourth time in six seasons since joining the conference in 2013-14, earning a No. 2 seed in the postseason tournament.
