Sophomore Shoots +3 Through Two Rounds
Beallsville, Md. - Continuing her dominant sophomore season, Queenie Lai opened play at Georgetown's Hoya Women's Invitational with a 74 (+2) and followed it with a 73 (+1) to head into tomorrow's final round tied for fourth place in the individual standings.

NOTES
- In the first round, Lai birded two of her first six holes, posting a -1 on her front nine. Despite playing +3 on the back nine, the three-time MAAC Golfer of the Week recorded seven pars in her final ten holes. Despite starting her second round with two bogeys in four holes, Lai birdied two of her last three as part of a -1 back nine and posted a +1, 73 for the round.
- Luciana Tobia birdied the fourth hole (her second hole) and parred seven of her next eight en route to a first round 78 (+6). The senior sits in a tie for 20th at the conclusion of Monday's round. Tobia posted ten pars in the second round on her way to an 80 (+8). She is currently tied with two other players in 25th place overall.
- Despite not recording a birdie in the first round, Alexandra Sahzin put 11 pars on her scorecard and posted an 80 (+8). In the second round, Sahzin was +7 on the front nine before adding two birdies to her back nine 37 (+1) and finishing the day in a tie for 29th.
- Elena Lopez posted matching nines in the first round, going +5 on each side of the scorecard for an 82 (+10). In round two, Lopez knocked in three birdies over a six-hole span before finishing with a 79 (+7). Her three-stroke improvement in round two sees her in a tie for 34th heading into the final round.
- Elena Ybarra was +13 for the first round, but finished strong, recording three pars in her final five holes. She carried that momentum into round two, tallying seven pars in ten holes, but ultimately finished the round with an 84 (+12).
- Freshman Darby Lillibridge, competing as an indiviudal gofler, posted scores of 81 and 83 and recorded her first birdie of the spring in round two.
- Casey Oppenheimer posted a final round 87 to finish in a tie for 15th at Sacred Heart. She finished with a score of 171 (84-87).
- Fellow freshman Amanda Tully finished a stroke behind Oppenheimer after a final round 85.
The final round of the Hoya Women's Invitational will take place tomorrow morning.
