RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Quinnipiac men's soccer fell in MAAC play at Manhattan, 1-0, on Saturday, Oct. 5 from Gaelic Park. With the loss, the Bobcats move to 1-1-0 in conference action so far in 2019.

SCORING SUMMARY

First Half

(35' – Manhattan 1, Quinnipiac 0): The lone goal of the contest came in the 35^th minute of play, as Lorenzo Froehle scored on an assist from Moritz Riegel. Riegel fed the ball into the middle of the box, and Froehle was able to capitalize for his first score of the year.

NOTES

Freshman Tomas Svecula attempted a team-best five shots, while senior Romain Daniellou recorded four shots.
Junior goalkeeper Jared Mazzola made four saves. He has now allowed just 13 goals in nine contests this season.
Shots on goal were 5-3 in favor of Manhattan, while the Jaspers earned six corner chances.
Manhattan committed 27 total fouls, while the Bobcats had seven.
Quinnipiac had multiple good chances in the second half. Romain Daniellou hit the bar early in the half, and Eamon Whelan's chance in the final five minutes of the contest was denied by the Manhattan keeper (Kochiss) – who made a diving stop to his left to help preserve the lead.
