Men's Cross Country Takes 24th Place at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Quinnipiac men's cross country team took 24th of 45 teams at the 46th Annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh. Senior Michael Kiernan led the Bobcats for the fourth straight week with a tenth place finish in the men's 8k (24:57.9).
Forty-five schools and over 300 athletes competed in the Men's College Brown 8k race alone. There were three divisions for the top men's runners in the country - Open Men's 8k, Men's College Gold 8k, Men's College Brown 8k and Men's College White 8k. The University of New Hampshire took first as a team in the Men's College Brown 8k division.

The men's cross country team will travel to Princeton, N.J., for the Princeton Invitational on Oct. 19.

- In 46th place, freshman Dylan Manning recorded a time of 25:21.6.
- Junior Jeffery Venter took 71st place with a time of 25:30.2.
- Only a secon behind Venter was Jack Hilton, who finished in 217th place with a time of 26:25.4.
- Matthew Rene recorded a time of 26:49.9 in 270th place.
- Senior Joseph Lazzaro took 290th place with a time of 27:01.8.
- Freshman Gary Sautner tallied a time of 27:39.5.
The men's cross country team will travel to Princeton, N.J., for the Princeton Invitational on Oct. 19.
