Sakoda and Peralta Both Inside Top 20
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Reigning MAAC Golfer of the Month Queenie Lai shot a 75 on Monday at the Lehigh Women's Golf Invitational to tie for second place after the tournament's opening round.
Freshmen Kaylee Sakoda and Leeyen Peralta both found their way into the top 20 by shooting 79 and 80, respectively, at Saucon Valley Country Club.

- Lai posted a +3 opening round to tie two golfers from St. John's for second place. The trio is three strokes off the lead heading into the second round.
- Lai leads the field in par-5 scoring after playing the holes 2-under today. She is also tied for most birdies in the field with five on the day.
- Sakoda's 79 was good enough for a tie for 13th place and Peralta is one stroke behind in a tie for 16th.
- Senior Alexandra Sazhin shot an 84 and is just inside the top 30 in a tie for 25th of more than 50 goflers.
- Sophomore Elena Ybarra competed in her first official event of the 2019 fall season and is currently tied for 34th after her round of 88.
- Freshman Mia Grzywinski made her official collegiate debut on Monday, shooting a +19 round of 91 as an individual golfer.
