Bobcats looking for third straight conference win
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's soccer team will travel to Jersey City, N.J., to take on the Saint Peter's Peacocks on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The Bobcats are coming off two conference shutout wins against Fairfield and Niagara.

Last Time Out:
Quinnipiac hosted the Niagara Purple Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 12. The Bobcats downed the Purple Eagles, 3-0, with goals coming from freshmen Kayla Mingachos and Olivia Scott and sophomore Emily Loney. Mingachos scored her first career goal and game-winning goal in the shutout win. The Peacocks are 3-9 overall with a 1-4 conference record and are coming off a 1-0 loss at Iona. Madison Greenberg leads the team with four points on two goals. Victoria Scarratt has played in nine games making eight starts between the posts. She has tallied 61 saves and has allowed 14 goals against.
Last Year against the Peacocks:
Quinnipiac holds an all-time record of 9-1 against Saint Peter's. Last year, the Bobcats suffered its only lost to the Peacocks in a 1-0 battle.
Underclassmen on the Rise:
Freshman Olivia Scott now leads the team with nine points on three goals and three assists. She has scored twice in the last two games. Sophomore Selena Salas has recorded eight points on two goals and four assists. Freshman Markela Bejleri has tallied two goals and two assists for six points.
Phillips in the Net:
Freshman Meaghan Phillips has four shutouts on the season. She is one shutout away from tying Gwen Miller with five shutouts in a season. She has totaled a 0.91 goals against average and 0.811 save percentage.
A Look at the MAAC Standings:
The Monmouth Hawks sit at the top of the conference standings with a 6-0 record. Rider is the only other unbeaten team (5-0-1), and Fairfield holds the third spot with a 4-1 record. Marist and Quinnipiac hold the fourth and fifth spots, and Siena sits in sixth with a 2-3-1 record. Niagara is in the middle of the pack with a 2-4 record, followed by Iona, Canisius, Saint Peter's and Manhattan.
