Three Different Bobcats Net Goals Capped by Walmsley's Game-Winner
NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac field hockey team strung together two goals in less than 10 minutes early in the second half to come from behind to beat the Columbia Lions, 3-2, for the Bobcats' second straight victory. Anna Walmsley (Glasgow, Scotland) struck for the game-winner shortly after Marissa Larkin's (Saratoga Springs, New York) first goal of the season that kicked off the second half.

- 5:06 (QU 1, Columbia 0): Elisa Van Winkel (Heeze, Netherlands) struck first for the Bobcats when she scored off a rebound from a shot by Valerie Perkins (Mohegan Lake, New York) with early in the first half. Van Winkel's goal was the freshman's first goal as a Bobcat.
- 20:08 (QU 1, Columbia 1): The Lions answered on a corner of their own 15 minutes after the Bobcats jumped out ahead. Katie Koester snuck behind the defense and connected with a shot from Brooke Gasser to deflect the ball into the goal to tie the game.
- 37:40 (QU 1, Columbia 2): The Lions jumped out to the early 2-1 lead just minutes into the second half when Danielle Buttinger received a pass by Jennifer Trieschman and scored to give Columbia the 2-1 lead just a pinch under three minutes into the second half.
- 38:02 ( QU 2, Columbia 2): Larkin wasted no time when the junior forward struck just 22 seconds after the Lions took the 2-1 lead. Jess Halley (Glasgow, Scotland) passed it to Larkin and was credited with her first-career assist.
- 46:49 (QU 3, Columbia 2): Blum received a long pass from the defensive zone and pulled the Lion's goalie out of position before Walmsley corralled the loose ball and scored to give Quinnipiac the 3-2 lead.
- Van Winkel's goal was her first goal of the season and her Quinnipiac career.
- Perkins assist was her first of the 2018 season and her second in her three-year career.
- Larkin netted her first goal of the season and the second goal of her career. The other goal of Larkin's career came when she scored the game-winner against Temple in a 1-0 victory last October.
- Halley's assist was the first point of her career and also recorded her first career defensive save.
- Walmsley's netted her first goal of 2018 and third goal since transferring to Quinnipiac in 2017.
- The goal was also Walmsley's second game-winning goal. The forward's last game winner came in the Bobcats' 2-1 victory over Georgetown in 2017.
- Blum's assist is good for her first of the season and second of her career.
- Hannah Teicher (Bethesda, Maryland) recorded two saves on five shots on goal (12 total shots) in her second-straight win in the cage for Quinnipiac.
