HAMDEN, Conn. - Four players scored in double-figures as the Quinnipiac women's basketball team was able to defeat the Iona Gaels, 90-47, on Sunday afternoon at the TD Bank Sports Center.

The win was Quinnipiac's 14th in a row as the Bobcats move to 13-0 in MAAC play. Paula Strautmane scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Jaden Ward scored a career-high 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds as well. Taylor Herd added 14 points and three steals, while Jen Fay scored 13, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists.

The Bobcats scored 34 points off 25 Iona turnovers.
Quinnipiac opened the first quarter with a 7-0 run in the first 2:11 of the game, forcing an Iona timeout.
The run would extend to as much as 15-2 before Iona got its second basket of the game with 5:33 to go in the first quarter.
Four different players scored on the run with Herd leading the way with six points after knocking down two three-pointers.
After Iona cut the Quinnipiac lead to 10 with 1:59 remaining in the first, the Bobcats closed the quarter with a 7-2 run to take a 27-12 lead into the second quarter.
Fay, Fabbri, Herd and Strautmane combined to go 9-10 from the field in the first quarter, including 4-4 from three for a total of 22 points.
After Iona went on an 8-0 run, Quinnipiac closed the final 8:09 of the half with a 20-8 run.
