Shortridge Earns Second Shutout of the Season, Priskie Scores Ninth Goal
HAMDEN, Conn. – Andrew Shortridge (Anchorage, Alaska) stood tall between the pipes Friday night for the No. 9/9 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team as the Bobcats blanked the No. 19 Princeton Tigers, 3-0, at home in their second consecutive shutout.
With the victory, Quinnipiac has won five straight games for the second time this season and has recorded three shutouts during the five-game winning streak.
Shortridge picked up 20 saves in his second shutout of the season and Quinnipiac's fifth overall shutout of the season.
Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) recorded his ninth goal of the season in the first period for the game-winner before Scott Davidson (Trail, British Columbia) added a critical insurance
goal midway through the third period for his first of the season. Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minnesota) also added an empty-net goal for his 10th of the season.
