Quinnipiac women's indoor track & field will compete in a pair of events this weekend, starting with Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday, Jan. 26 at the Boston University Track Center. On Saturday, Jan. 27, the Bobcats will compete in the 18th Annual Dr. Sander Invitational/Columbia Challenge (formerly the Armory Track Invitational).

THEIR LAST TIME OUT -
University of Rhode Island's Sorlien Memorial Invitational:
- Carly Timpson tied her career-best high jump of 1.7 meters, which she set two years ago at the Yale Season Opener.
- Alyson Caron was third out of eight competitors in the 1000 meters
- Victoria Maceira ran a personal best of 11:10.59 in the 3000 meters, trimming 13 seconds off her previous best set in 2016.
- Kelsey Coughlin's 3.05 in the pole vault was a new personal best, eclipsing her previous high of 3.0
- In addition to individual titles in the 1-mile run from Kaleigh Roberts and the 3000 meters from Emily Wolff, Jessica Lee finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with an 8.42, behind only a competitor running unattached.
- Wolff came in under 10 minutes in the 3000 meters with a 9:56.41, easily beating the competition, finishing almost 20 seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Her time was also exactly one second shy of her personal best, set two years ago at the New England Championships.
- Ellie Songer finished in third place in the 3000 meters behind Wolff and an unattached runner, crossing the line in a personal best of 10:20.21
- Roberts won the 1-mile run by almost seven seconds, and by over 10 seconds over the closest collegiate competitor.
- Lee's 8.42 in the 60-meter hurdles was just .07 behind per personal best, set at last year's Armory Track Invitational.
- Freshman Abby Frank won her heat in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.99, breaking eight seconds for the first time in her young career and finishing 15th overall.
- The Bobcats had three runners come in just under the one-minute barrier in the 400 meters, with Melissa Solomon earning a 59.44, Marlo Wehrer finishing in 59.86 and Christina Barbaro crossing the line in 59.89.
- Senior Darby Ginley ran a personal best of 3:05.14 in the 1000 meters to earn a sixth place finish.
- Meaghan Scullin and Britney Del Mundo each finished in sixth place in the long jump and triple jump, respectively, setting new personal bests.
Following this weekend's action in Boston and New York, the Bobcats will compete in the New England Championships on Feb. 2-3, 2018 at the Reggie Lewis Track Center in Roxbury, Mass.
