Horrendous weather – consistent, heavy rainfall from start-to-finish, with an unseasonably-cold temperature – presented less than ideal conditions for both side.
Holy Cross' Mauren Connolly scored her team-leading fourth goal of the year in the 37^th minute before Casey Considine added the insurance goal in the 59^th minute of play.
