Bobcats Top Yale, 4-2, for First Win at Quinnipiac Field Hockey Field

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University field hockey team defeated Yale, 4-2, for its first win of the season as well as its first win, all-time, at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Field. With the win, Quinnipiac improves to 1-4 on the season while Yale drops to 1-1.
Quinnipiac senior Dayna Barlow (Port Elizabeth, South Africa) scored twice while senior Lauren Belskie (Hillsborough, New Jersey) added two assists. Ines Ruiz Martinez (Madrid, Spain) scored her first goal of the year while also recording a defensive save while Amanda Blum (Langhorne, Pennsylvania) picked up her first career point with an assist. Livy Golini (York, Maine) stopped four shots in goal for her first victory of the season.

- Selina Reichert (Lower Hutt, New Zealand) scored her first goal of the season to give Quinnipiac a 1-0 lead when she tipped a shot by Belskie past the Yale goalkeeper.
- Barlow scored twice for her first two goals of the season. She now has 16 goals and 41 points for her career.
- Barlow's two-goal game was the second of her career after she scored twice against Fairfield in a 5-4 overtime win on Nov. 1, 2015.
- Blum assisted Barlow on her second goal of the game for her first career point.
- Michelle Federico (Cheshire, Connecticut) picked up her second assist in her last three games.
