SCORING SUMMARY
- 0:30 (QU 1, FFD 0): Al Pelletier (Cheshire, Connecticut) sent a through ball down the right wing to Grunstein who took two dribbles into the box. Once near the end line, Grunstein centered to the top of the box where Goldring back-tracked and sent a swooping line drive shot far corner for the early goal.
- 3:28 (QU 2, FFD 0): Just over three minutes later, it was Goldring and Grunstein again linking up as the Stags turned the ball over at midfield. Goldring picked up the loose ball and sent a pass up to Grunstein who turned to her left and blasted one past the keeper at the near post.
- Both Goldring and Grunstein picked up three points with one goal and one assist each while Pelletier tallied her fifth assist of the season on the Goldring game-winner 30 seconds into the match
- Goldring now has 17 points (five goals, seven assists) as she inches closer towards Quinnipiac's Div. I freshman scoring record (Kirsten Van de Van, 35 points in 2004)
- Goldring's seven assists are tied with Nadya Gill's seven helpers as both Bobcats share the lead for most assists in the MAAC
- Myszewski continues to play incredibly well in the net as she has conceded just two goals since the start of MAAC play (3-0-1 record, 0.47 goals-against average, 20 saves, .909 save percentage)
- The clean sheet is Myszewski's third of the season and sixth of her career
- The defensive combination of Jess Gargan (Dublin, Ireland), Jess Cascio (Hebron, Connecticut) and Hannah Reiter (Mansfield, Massachusetts) played all 90 minutes and limited the Stags to just eight total shots (five on-target) with very little in the way of quality scoring chances
- Quinnipiac moves to 5-0-1 in 2017 in games in which the Bobcats score first
- Quinnipiac's 3-0-1 league record is easily the best start to a MAAC slate in program history (previous best 2-0-2 in 2013)
