MATCH NOTES
- Senior Elizabeth Kloos (Munster, Ind.) finished with 20 kills on 34 attempts with only one error to hit .559, including 8-0-12 in the fourth set. She was also 7-0-11 for a .636 percentage yesterday in a win over Saint Peter's.
- Kloos' previous career high of 16 kills was set last season in a win over Fairleigh Dickinson.
- Kloos kills accounted for all four Bobcat points in a 4-1 run in the fourth that turned an 18-15 deficit into a 19-19 tie.
- Junior right side hitter Kat Miller (Collegeville, Pa.) had a kill at 23-23 to set up Quinnipiac's first match point, and a Rider service error set up a second, but the Broncs had kills to tie it both times.
- Miller finished with her sixth double-double of the season, tallying 14 kills and 10 digs.
- Sophomore setter Maria Pansari (Whitehouse Station, N.J.) had a season-high 51 assists. It was her ninth career match with 50 or more assists, after reaching that threshold eight times as a freshman.
- Quinnipiac won a narrow 25-23 decision in the first set, with kills from junior outside hitter Jen Coffey (Merrimack, N.H.) accounting for the final two points. Her first made it 24-22, and after Rider had a kill to close to 24-23, Coffey finished it off to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead.
- Quinnipiac cruised to a 25-14 win in the second set, holding Rider to a .000 hitting percentage (eight kills with eight errors), but Rider bounced back to win the third set 25-22 and stay in the match.
- The Bobcats had four players reach double figures in kills by the end of the third set. Kloos had 12, while Miller, Coffey and sophomore outside hitter Natlaie Alechko (Old Tappan, N.J.) each had 10.
- Alechko finished with her second double-double of the season with 10 kills and 12 digs.
- Quinnipiac earned its first win in a match that wasn't a three-set sweep.
